At Signed by Jo, every event is more than décor, it’s a signature experience. What began in 2018 with a baby shower for my Aunt Gifty has grown into a creative studio devoted to transforming spaces with purpose, passion, and detail. Our slogan, “Your vision. Our signature touch,” isn’t just a tagline, it’s a promise to leave a lasting impression on your special day.

As a young black woman with a deep love for aesthetics, my work is rooted in service. Guided by 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,” I see styling events not just as creating beauty, but as using my God-given creativity to uplift, celebrate, and bring joy to others.

That heart for service extends beyond clients. Each year, I offer select free event styling for small businesses, churches, and community organizations as a way to sow back into the very spaces that shaped me. In 2025, this commitment and creativity were recognized with a feature in Voyage Baltimore Magazine, highlighting my journey and the impact of Signed by Jo in the DMV area.

Over the years, I’ve grown not only as a designer but as a business owner and creative visionary. From baby showers and gender reveals to bridal showers, corporate functions, and milestone celebrations, every event is crafted with care, originality, and intention, always centered on the client’s voice.
